Lessons are an important part of our business and we are fortunate to have the areas top instructors at our facility. We currently have 3 studios and a comfortable lounge area for parents and friends during lessons.
Our lesson space allows for social distancing and meets Covid-19 regulations.
Here are a list of teachers and the instruments they teach.
Bob Assini - Drums, hand percussion and classical piano.
Bob is also a veteran player and teacher, active on the local music scene, and highly respected among his peers. His easy going personality and teaching style translate into major results with his current students, and keeps him generating referrals for new students. He teaches Bodhran, Conga, Bongos, Djembe, Doumbek and other popular forms of hand percussion.
Konstantin Tsykun - Piano.
Konstantin is a graduate of the Kirovograd School of Music, Russia, having received his MA degree with honors on his Major of Piano/guitar.
He has performed with Odessa Opera Theater, Ukraine, on the piano and has been a periodic performer on the WMC radio show. He is the Contemporary Music Director at St. Thomas Church, Delmar. He has performed with a rock band, Box of Rain and jazz band, Formula 1 and currently performs with a jazz band, New Edge. He enjoyed playing with Eric Walentowitcz, a well-known in the Capital District, jazz musician.
His many years of teaching experience has benefited numerous students in their development of performing in classical, jazz, pop and rock styles. He is excited to share his expertise with student and is looking forward to creating for them an individualized and caring learning experience.
Chuck Valentine - Electric guitar, acoustic guitar, ukulele and bass.
Chuck has been playing guitar for over 25 years and has been teaching guitar lessons for the last 15 plus years. He received his Bachelor of Fine Arts Degree in Electronic Music and Sound Recording Techniques from SUNY Fredonia. He has played well over 1,000 shows; both solo and with his various bands. He had the honor of sharing the stage with great musicians such as the Wailers, Umphreys McGee, and Bernie Worrell to name a few. In 2016 he released a solo album of his own fingerstyle guitar arrangements of Beatles songs. He teaches beginners as well as advanced students.
John Stopera - Electric guitar, acoustic guitar, ukulele and bass.
John is an accomplished musician and teacher, and always seems to develop and maintain a long term relationship with his students. He teaches all styles of guitar and specializes in high energy rock, prog rock, shredding, etc...all the way from scales/modes to basic chording and guitar understanding. John covers all the bases when it comes to his craft. Which in one word is ..guitar.
